Wendi Day-Rodriquez - Board Member

My name is Wendi Day-Rodriguez and live in Clover, SC. I’m married with 3 adult stepchildren, 1 granddaughter and am a transplant from Iowa and California. I work for a custom countertop fabrication manufacturer in Charlotte and have over 35 years of experience in the accounting industry – private, business and Cable/TV productions. My husband and I have recently started a family Hotshot transportation business that our youngest son will be driving for.

My favorite things to do with my time outside of work is spending time with the family and taking care of all our critters.  We have 2 dogs, 2 inside cats, 3 barn cats, over 30 chickens and 4 mini goats. The peace, relaxation and love an animal provides is the best medicine for the human soul, and they can teach us so many wonderful lessons.  I love taking my goats to events and places for people to interact and learn about, and they enjoy all the extra loving and attention. Watching people light up when they see them is so rewarding. We bring several of the goats to RideAbility for the riders (parents and volunteers as well) to interact with and learn about and have set up a “petting” area for everyone to spend time with them during the annual horse show. Because of their small size, it’s easier for the kids to hug, pet and hold.  And trust me, the goats absolutely love all the attention and extra treats they get during their visits!  I also enjoy making crafts and wine tasting.
